DESCRIPTION
Election of the members of the Sanma provincial government council. It was last elected on 17 December 2015 and finalizes its term on 17 December 2019. According to the law, a new election is to be held immediately after. A total of 18 councilors will be elected in two different constituencies: Malo/Aore (three councilors) and Santo (15 councilors).
TIMETABLE
- Starting date for lodging of candidature application forms : 3 December 2019
- Closing date for the 2019 electoral registration & including ID cards within SANMA PGC: 4 December 2019
- Closing date for the candidature application forms: 17 Decemeber 2019.
- Decleration of qualified candidates to contest the SANMA PGC election: 30 Decemeber 2019.
- Closing date for the lodging of proxy applicaiton forms & duplicate electoral cards: 2 January 2020.
- Political campaign to commence on: 30 December 2019 and will close at 12 MIDNIGHT (12pm) on 13 January 2020.
